Celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with us!

Take a step back in time and enjoy the nostalgic sights, sounds and smells of steam travel. Enjoy 40s music playing on our trains and platforms, as well as a ukulele band at Alresford Station! Learn more about our wartime locomotive 35005 Canadian Pacific and how she was a built by a crew including many women. 

Don’t miss a small collection of 1940s vehicles outside the front of Alresford Station, including two wartime jeeps!

Enjoy everything the railway has to offer with viewing galleries, locomotive playground and unlimited travel on our trains.

Photography & Filming

Visitors are permitted to film and/or photograph at The Watercress Line for personal use only. Filming and photography for commercial gain is strictly prohibited unless pre-approved by the Company.

Drones must not be operated on or within 50m of The Watercress Line property.

The Watercress Line only permits line side access to those with a valid Watercress Line Identity Card and PTS. No other line side access is permitted, including PTS certification issued by other heritage railways, and is viewed as trespass.

We respectfully ask photographers to respect our neighbours private property and remain in publicly accessible areas. Please note that the field and crossing at Wanders Curve between Ropley and Medstead is not publicly accessible land. Thank you.
