Ticket Terms And Conditions
This ticket is issued subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Mid Hants Railway Ltd. Full details are available here.
Please check your tickets as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ascertain whether a service has been cancelled and the date and time of any rearranged service.
The Mid Hants Railway reserves the right to refuse admission, or ask visitors to leave, should patrons breach any Rules and Regulations of the Mid Hants Railway Ltd. The Mid Hants Railway Ltd may on occasions have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.Â
Children under the age of 16 will only be admitted in the company of a responsible adult.
Refunds and Cancellations
We regret that tickets cannot be refunded after purchase without the purchase of our in house ‘Ticket Protect’ supplement, the terms for which can be found HERE.
Steam Illuminations refund policy can be found under ‘Important information about ticket types’ HERE. The Mid Hants Railway Ltd cannot be held responsible for any tickets which are lost or stolen.
Please note:
Standard travel: change of date can be done until the day before travel. No refunds after purchase except where ‘Ticket Protect’ has been purchased.
Events: change of date can be done depending on availability up until the day before travel. No refunds after purchase except where ‘Ticket Protect’ has been purchased.
Dining Trains (including RAT tickets): Change of date can be done with 14 days’ notice, depending on future availability. No refunds after purchase except where ‘Ticket Protect’ has been purchased.
Where dates of travel are amended, if the new ticket price is lower than the price originally paid no refund for the difference in price will be made. If the new date is more expensive this will need to be paid at the time of making the amendment.
All amendments (excluding Standard Travel) will incur a £10 administration fee.
If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than Mid Hants Railway Ltd., it may be voided and the holder may be refused travel.
General Information
The Mid Hants Railway operates a strict No Smoking policy, including eCigs, on the trains. Â
Only food and drink purchased onboard may be consumed on the Real Ale Train and Dining trains.
The Mid Hants Railway Ltd. accept no responsibility for any personal property.
Ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording as visitors.Â
If a service is rescheduled, ticket holders will be offered tickets to the rescheduled service, equivalent to the face value of the ticket. If a service is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered travel on an alternative service (subject to availability) up to the value on the ticket.Â
All of these terms and conditions are governed by English Law.Â
The ticket holder must comply with all relevant statutes, safety announcements and Mid Hants Railway Ltd regulations whilst traveling.
Breach of any of these conditions or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall enable the railway to refuse to carry you as a passenger.
Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person. We reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased in excess of this number.
The Mid Hants Railway Ltd does not guarantee that the trains will arrive or depart at the times stated and reserves the right to cancel, alter or suspend any train without notice, or to substitute a different engine should this be necessary for whatever reason.
Data Protection and Privacy
Your customer details will only be used for the the marketing purposes of the Mid Hants Railway Ltd and will not be passed to any Third Party Company for marketing use. Concessions for Carers
If an adult or child has a disability requiring a carer to accompany them, one carer will be issued with a free ticket per full-fare paying visitor, for any of our standard travel services. Carer tickets will be issued on the day of travel, please visit a Ticket Office.Â
We regret that we cannot issue free carer tickets for events with reserved seating e.g. Steam Illuminations, Watercress Belle Dining. We are also unable to offer a free carer ticket against any vouchers or offers that are currently available. Carers for children under 16 must be adults.Â
We reserve the right to request confirmation of entitlement, which could be:Â an Access card with the +1 symbol; Hampshire Gateway card, entitlement to Disability Living Allowance (for children under 16 years) or Personal Independent payments (for those aged over 16 years); Attendance Allowance or Carer’s Allowance letter of award; Incapacity Benefit book, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded; A Certificate of Visual Impairment; A letter from a medical professional (dated within the last 12 months) confirming the need for a full time carer.Â
‘One Child Goes Free’ leaflet voucher
One free child ticket with one full paying adult during Watercress Line standard travel days only.
Not valid in conjunction with any other offer or discount including Priv cards.
Physical voucher must be handed into the booking office to redeem this offer.
Children under 5 years old go free
Children under 5 years old travel free if travelling with a full paying adult. This is valid for non-event days only (for example, NOT for Day Out With Thomas, Wizard Weekend, Steam Illuminations, Father Christmas, dining trains or Real Ale Trains).
