50s Weekend

Dates
This Event Has Now Finished

28 - 30 August

The 50s Weekend will offer a taste of 1950s glamour with live music, jazz and jive dancing, classic cars and more

Saturday 28th – Monday 30th August will see the railway celebrate the fabulous 1950s with entertainment happening around Alresford and Ropley stations.

Your travel ticket gives you freedom of the line to hop on and off at any station to explore a range of vintage displays.

The 50s Weekend is as much about reliving this period as it is enjoying the rush of a steam engine. Whether you want to get involved and dress up in your own period costume or simply come along and soak up the atmosphere, the 50s Weekend promises to be a truly unique and memorable experience.

Regrettably, in the last couple of days, we have had a number of exhibitors who have needed to pull out of this event due to personal reasons. This means that the 50’s Weekend will be running on a much reduced basis.

Even though we will not be able to have the range of re-enactors and displays we had planned, everyone at the Watercress Line is looking forward to welcoming you this weekend and will be pulling out all the stops to make your visit enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you.

What's On?
