The Watercress Line in Hampshire invites wine lovers to come on board for a new experience this summer with the launch of The Wine Line, an exclusive wine tasting journey through the Hampshire countryside on Friday 25 July.
Combining heritage steam travel with expertly curated wines and an artisan charcuterie board, plus cheese course and dessert, The Wine Line offers guests a unique evening in the railway’s elegant First-Class dining coaches.
The experience has been created in partnership with independent wine merchant The Naked Grape and Hampshire winery Penn Croft, who will guide guests through a selection of three premium still wines and two sparkling wines during the journey.
Passengers will be welcomed with a complimentary drink on arrival at Alresford Station before settling in for an evening of wine tasting, expert talks and scenic steam travel. Alongside the wines, guests will enjoy the specially prepared menu, selected to complement the tasting experience.
