Easter Bunny Train
Visit the Easter Bunny and the special Easter Bunny Trains!
The Easter Bunny will be visiting The Watercress Line this Easter. Enjoy travelling on our heritage trains with themed sing-along songs and jokes.
Bring your own furry friends along for a photo with the Easter Bunny, and get a little memento of your day.
Activities from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
What's Going On?
• Meet the Easter Bunny at Ropley Station for photos and a free chocolate egg for children
• Hop onboard our trains for some Easter themed sing-along songs and jokes with the Easter Bunny helpersÂ
• Children can enjoy our free activity sheet and Easter spotter trail
• Make your own Easter Ears activity and Easter colouring
• Enjoy Easter themed activities at Ropley & Alton stations
• Strike a pose with our Easter themed selfie spots
What's On
• Enjoy unlimited travel on our steam and heritage diesel trains
• Children can let off steam at our locomotive playground at Ropley station
• View the locomotives from above and see restoration being carried out from the Loco Shed Viewing Gallery
• Hot and cold drinks and food available at Alresford, Ropley & Alton stations
• Browse Alresford Shop for gifts and mementos of your day (10am – 4pm). Ropley shop open on selected days (volunteer dependent)

If you are starting your journey from Alresford
- Either catch the 11am or 12pm train to Ropley and get off at Ropley Station.Â
- At Ropley, there’s lots to entertain you!
- Catch the 1.08pm train up to Alton station, watch the loco run around to the front of the carriages, have a go at the Humpty’s Wall activity and return on the train back down to Alresford which arrives at 2.34pm.
- Treat yourself to a cuppa and some homemade cake at the West Country Buffet at Alresford Station and don’t forget to visit the shop in the Goods Shed for a memento of the day.
If you are starting your journey from Alton
- To make the most of your day, catch the 12pm train to Alresford, arriving at 12.34pm.
- While in Alresford you could:
- Enjoy delicious food & drink at the West Country Buffet
- Visit the gift shop in the Goods Shed
- Catch the 1pm train from Alresford and get off at Ropley at 1.08pm
- At Ropley, there’s lots to entertain you, including:
- Egg-ploring the station to find the Easter Bunny and collect your treat!
- Make your own Easter ears
- Play on the locomotive playground
- Take a ride on the miniature railway
- Visit the famous Harry Potter bridge
- Get up close to the huge locos in the yard
- See what’s happening in the viewing galleries overlooking the workshops
- Remember to take a selfie at the selfie station!
- Catch the 3.08pm train up to Alton station, arriving at 3.39pm.
- Have a go at the Humpty’s Wall activity.

Please note on the 3rd & 4th April there will be two steam trains running through the day. On the 2nd, 5th & 6th April there will be one steam train running and the Class 150 Sprinter Unit.
