Family fun this summer
Come and visit this summer for some fun-packed family days!
There are weekly changing themes through the summer holidays:
SteamPunk, Wednesday 31 July – Sunday 4 August
Nature, Wednesday 14 – Sunday 18 August
Fairies, Wednesday 28 August – Sunday 1st September
Simply buy a standard travel ticket for the day you want to visit and as well as the usual fun activities – rides on heritage trains, playing in the bespoke locomotive playground, walking over the famous Harry Potter footbridge, taking unlimited rides on the delightful miniature railway (on Saturdays), getting up close to the locomotives and seeing their restoration in action – you can also enjoy activities based on the theme.

Steampunk
31 July - 4 August 2024
Encouraging the act of ‘being splendid’ to one another whilst reimagining the world though brass plated goggles. Experience a taste of this fusion between Victoriana and engineering!
Activites include:
Tea duelling; our ever-popular cog board; onboard selfie station; typewriting challenge & badge making,
Nature
14 - 18 August 2024
Investigate more of our railway than just our tracks, from our topiary to minibeasts as well as visiting wildlife stands.
Activities include:
Meeting local wildlife groups; topiary spotters sheet; spotting flora & fauna around the railway & writing them up on a wildlife board; chatting with our Site Care team and learn what they do at the railway.
Fairies
28 August - 1 September 2024
Dress up in your favourite wings and fly down to The Watercress Line for a final chance to burn off steam this Summer holiday.
Activities include:
Enjoy a fairy story at Ropley; create your own fairy door; colouring sheets; spot items from the fairy garden on our trail sheet.
