Brand New Event: Hey Duggee Meet and Greet
We are thrilled to announce that Duggee is coming to The Watercress Line!
Enjoy a train ride and meet Duggee as he makes regular appearances at intervals throughout the day. There will be opportunities to have your photo taken with him at Ropley at set times during the day.
Other activities run from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
What's Going On?
• Meet and greet with Duggee
• Enjoy unlimited travel on our heritage trains
• Enjoy a ride on our delightful miniature railway (Saturday only)
• Let off steam on our bespoke locomotive playground
• Walk across the famous King’s Cross footbridge used in one of the Harry Potter films
• Explore the Carriage workshop and Engineering viewing galleries
• Make your own fun badges at Alresford shop and Alton kiosk
• Enjoy Hey Duggee colouring sheets in the Waiting Shelter in Ropley & Alton
What's On
• Have a go at the Young Engineers trail with a free leaflet for the activity
• Enjoy outdoor games in the picnic area at Ropley Station
• Come dressed as your favourite Hey Duggee character and join in the fun!
• Hot & cold food and drink available at the West Country Buffet at Alresford and T-Junction at Ropley
• Refreshments available at Alton Kiosk
• Treat yourself to a gift or memento of your day at one of our shops in Alresford or Ropley

Meet and Greet 11.15am
Alton Station: Catch the 10.50am train from platform 3, arriving at Ropley Station at 11.12am.Â
Alresford Station: Catch the 11am train, arriving at Ropley Station at 11.08am.
Meet and Greet 12.15pm
Alton Station: Catch the 10.50am train from platform 3, arriving at Ropley Station at 11.12am. Alternatively, you can catch the 12pm train from platform 3, arriving at Ropley Station at 12.24pm.
Alresford Station: Catch the 11.45am train, arriving at Ropley Station at 11.53am.
Meet and Greet 1.15pm
Alton Station: Catch the 12pm train from platform 3, arriving at Ropley Station at 12.24pm. Alternatively, catch the 12.50pm train from platform 3, arriving at Ropley Station at 1.12pm.Â
Alresford Station: Catch the 1pm train, arriving at Ropley Station at 1.08pm.
Meet and Greet 2.15pm
Alton Station: Catch the 12pm train from platform 3, arriving at Ropley Station at 12.24pm. Alternatively, catch the 12.50pm train from platform 3, arriving at Ropley Station at 1.12pm.Â
Alresford Station: Catch the 1pm train, arriving at Ropley Station at 1.08pm. Alternatively, catch the 1.45pm, arriving at Ropley Station at 1.53pm.
Meet and Greet 3.15pm
Alton Station: Catch the 12.50pm, 2pm or 2.50pm train from platform 3. If you are catching the 12.50pm or 2pm train you will have time to ride the line to Alresford, returning back to Ropley Station at 1.53pm or 3.08pm, respectively.
Please note, the last train of the day leaving Ropley for Alton is 4pm.
Alresford Station: Catch the 1pm, 1.45pm or 3pm train. If you are catching the 1pm or 1.45pm trains, you will have time to ride the line to Alton before returning to Ropley at 2.24pm or 3.12pm, respectively.
Please note the last train of the day leaving Ropley for Alresford is 4.26pm.
