If you love the charm of miniature steam locomotives, mark your calendar for a delightful weekend at the Ropley Miniature Railway Steam Gala, taking place on Saturday 20 June and Sunday 21 June. This two‑day celebration promises plenty of steam‑powered fun for enthusiasts of all ages.
The railway will be open from 10am until 4pm on both days, giving visitors ample time to enjoy the engines in action, take photographs and soak up the atmosphere.
This year’s gala brings together three wonderful miniature locomotives:
Edmund Hannay — visiting from the Hastings Miniature Railway
Pulborough — kindly joining us from the South Downs Light Railway
Ivor — our very own home‑based steam locomotive, always a favourite with visitors
Each locomotive brings its own story, style and personality, making this a rare chance to see them steaming side by side.
Travelling on the miniature railway is free, however donations are very welcome! Donations help support the ongoing care, maintenance and development of the miniature railway. If you would like to travel on the main railway, you can buy tickets here.
